Rooted in Hard Work + Grown with Resilience & Led by Women

At Farmhouse Vineyards, our story has always started with the land.

It starts in the Texas High Plains, where hard work is not a slogan but a way of life. It lives in the rows, in the dust, in the changing seasons, and in the hands that show up day after day to nurture something meaningful from the ground up. This National Women’s Day, we’re proud to celebrate the women whose strength, vision, and dedication continue to shape Farmhouse Vineyards every single day.

Rooted in hard work. Grown with resilience. Led by women.
That isn’t just a tagline. It’s a reflection of who we are.

Farmhouse Vineyards is led by sister-in-laws and co-owners Katy Jane Seaton and Traci Furgeson, two women whose personal histories are deeply tied to farming, family, and the future of Texas wine. Their paths into this work are different, but together they tell a story of grit, faith, and purpose.

Katy Jane Seaton has spent more than 20 years in wine and 21 years working in Texas vineyards. Her passion for elevating the Texas High Plains and championing lesser-known grapes has helped position Farmhouse fruit as something Texans know and seek out by name. For Katy Jane, wine is more than a product. It is heritage, possibility, and a way to share something powerful with others.

Traci Furgeson’s roots run just as deep. Coming from a family of cotton and row-crop farmers in the Texas High Plains, she helped plant the family’s first vineyards in 2010 as a way to diversify their farming operation. What began with selling grapes evolved into something bigger. After five years of grape-growing, the family began bottling their own wines, and in 2017, Farmhouse Vineyards opened its tasting rooms. It’s the kind of story that does not happen by accident. It happens through persistence, belief, and a willingness to keep going when the road gets long and dusty.

That spirit extends far beyond ownership. One of the most remarkable parts of the Farmhouse story is its vineyard team, which is proudly 98% female-led. That’s not just impressive — it says something real about the women behind this brand. From the vineyard forward, women are helping guide the care, cultivation, and craftsmanship that define Farmhouse Vineyards. Their leadership is visible in every stage of the process.

And what they are building matters.

Farmhouse Vineyards has become known for growing high-quality wine grapes in the Texas High Plains, especially Counoise and Malvasia Bianca, while supplying fruit to many of the top wineries across Texas. That kind of reputation is earned. It comes from years of stewardship, standards, and an unshakable commitment to doing things the right way. No glitter cannon required. Just consistency, resilience, and real work.

This Women’s Day, we honor not only the women of Farmhouse Vineyards, but the women everywhere who nurture, build, and sustain their families, businesses, and communities. The women who lead quietly and boldly. The women who keep things growing, even when no one sees the labor beneath the surface.

At Farmhouse, their impact is everywhere…  in the vineyard rows, in the wines poured at the table, and in the story that continues to unfold with every vintage.

Here’s to women rooted in hard work, grown with resilience, and leading with heart. Cheers!
